Uniform Care

1. Jackets must be dry cleaned,
do not try to put them through a washing machine,
hand wash them or iron them.
2. Do not store a wet jacket or pants.
Hang your wet uniform up properly and allow to air dry at
room temperature.
3. Spot cleaners, bleaches, spray
deodorants, perfumes, fabric brighteners, or other chemicals
should not touch the uniform.
4. Time sets stains. If your
uniform has a stain, please dry clean it as soon as
possible.
5. When you take your jacket to the dry
cleaner, remove the braid, collar, and all buttons.
Do not take your jacket to the cleaners on a band hanger
or in the uniform bag. The cleaner will not return
them and will charge you for removing them.
6. If something is wrong with your
uniform, it is your job to tell a uniform room
worker. Handle your uniform bag carefully; they rip
easily.
7. Gloves, shoes, and a band shirt are
your responsibility once you've received them. You
must provide your own black socks. These items are
mandatory whenever you are in uniform and they are YOUR
RESPONSIBILITY!!!
8. Uniforms are ALWAYS
due the Thursday before our next performance. Your
grade will be cut if it is late. If there is a real
problem with returning your uniform on time, please tell a
uniform room worker.
9. When turning in your uniform, always
hang it on the rack located outside the uniform room.
10. Please hang your pants and jacket
neatly on the hanger with the hanger facing in the correct
direction. There will be no loose articles (shoes,
etc.) in the uniform bag.
If you have any questions,
please ask a uniform room worker. Thanks!
